NEW COMPANY TO ADDRESS COMMUNICATION
NEEDS OF  BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS

Announcing the formation of Chriesman & Associates, a new multi-faceted media venture designed to address the communications needs of corporations and organizations.  It is built on the unique perspective of understanding newsrooms from the inside and knowing how decisions on what to cover and what not to cover are made.  This expertise makes it easier for businesses, non-profits and other entities to develop ways to get their message out on their terms.

Willie Chriesman is the founding principal of this venture.  He brings to it more than two decades of experience as a broadcast news professional.  He has served in virtually every aspect of production and management in television news.  His experience includes stints in markets such as Chicago, Detroit, Boston, Denver and his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama.  He has also worked for national news organizations such as CNN and Fox.  In addition to those companies, Chriesman has worked for other top broadcasters including NBC, Hearst-Argyle, ABC and   Post-Newsweek.  Most recently, he served as vice-president of news and news director for WVTM, the NBC-owned station in Birmingham.   He has also been on overseas assignments in Europe and Africa.

Chriesman & Associates offers a wide range of services based on this experience and knowledge.  We can help develop news coverage strategies, conduct media training of key employees and offer assistance in writing and copyediting.  In addition, C&A provides video production services including sales presentations, communications to employees and other needs that modern, forward –looking companies may have. 

In addition to Corporate Media Consulting, Chriesman & Associates has two other components.   Our Productions unit seeks to provide thought-provoking yet entertaining programming aimed at serving a diverse television audience.  And our Media Diversity initiative is an innovative and ambitious project designed to increase the number of people of color holding decision-making positions in the nation’s broadcast newsrooms.
